THE LOKASTEINN ICELANDIC SHEEPDOG CREW

Nor’Star Kiska is the matriarch of the family; playing with the little ones and disciplining them when they get too rowdy.  Kiska has her Therapy Dog International (TDI) title, Canine Good Citizen CGC certification, titles in Agility & Rally and has done some herding.  As a Service Dog, Kiska has been specifically trained to assist with certain daily tasks.  She is a loyal and devoted best friend.

Blue Zafir Ánægja, a beautiful chocolate sable, came to us from Finland.  Her name means happiness in Icelandic and she totally lives up to her name.  Anaegja earned first place ribbons in her first agility trials with perfect scores and now has her multiple titles.  In July she tried her “paws” at Rally and earned qualifying legs in her first three trials to earn her RN title.  Anaejga has also earned her TDI  and CGC certification.  Following in Kiska’s footsteps, Anaegja is also being trained as a devoted service dog.

Lokasteinn Visa (Icelandic for show the right way) is our sweet snuggler.  She plays hard then comes looking for a lap.  If a lap is not available, she´s happy to warm your feet.  Visa earned her first Rally title with three qualifying runs on her first three runs.  Visa completed her Rally courses without ever taking her eyes off Russ!  Visa and Russ have their own private mutual admiration society going.  Her agility training had to be modified since Russ has not been able to run with her since his surgery.  She is now running with Linda and starting to rack up agility titles to go with her rally titles.  She is still Russ’ number one girl but is happy to run agility with Linda.

Lokasteinn Vaskur (Icelandic for robust) is living with his forever family in PA.  He has successfully completed obedience and rally training and will soon start agility.  In August 2008, Vaskur completed his Canine Good (CGC) Citizenship and Therapy Dog International (TDI) Certifications.  Vaskur enjoys long daily walks with Mary Claire and an occasional swim at the lake in warm weather.  When he get’s home, he gives Leo equal time by snuggling on his lap to watch the games.  Vaskur also enjoys spending time with his canine sister, Cassie.

Lokasteinn Ari is a sable male carrying the gene for tri-color and chocolate.  He is already working as a Therapy Dog, visiting nursing homes with his owners.  Ari is living up to his temperament tests and is a well adjusted male who enjoys hiking and camping.  Ari has his own web page:  http://m.tsharkey.com/aris-world/

Lokasteinn Edda is a beautiful chocolate, tan and white pied female.  Edda is a loving girl and loves nothing better than an opportunity to play with all her big dog friends.  Why do these dogs always befriend the largest dogs around?  Edda is a loving, loyal companion to Paul and enjoys frequent play dates with her male Icelandic Sheepdog buddy, Eyvin.

Lokasteinn Lokkadis, a tan, black and white sable female.  Lokka, like all the other puppies in her litter carries the gene for tri-color and the gene for chocolate.  Lokka is working on her agility skills as well as obedience.  She spends her free time romping in the woods with Solo, her corgi step-brother.

Lokasteinn Brenna is a gorgeous chocolate sable female.  She lives in California with her three boys and a loving pug.  Reports are that she is the delight of their lives and she is a very good little girl.

Lokasteinn Kiska is also a beautiful chocolate sable female.  Kiska enjoys long walks around the neighborhood, visiting with the horses across the road and snuggling with George.
